Ok, guys - let's talk a little about the SNOW.
I mean the snow in the UK! 3 weeks ago a dream came true, when one of our best friends moved to our neighbourhood from an other town. Everything was well-organized - but the snow... Let's see the facts: - 2 families - 2 toddlers - 2 superhero mamas - 2 soulful papas - 15 minutes distance between the 2 flats by car Long story short, the 2 mamas put their toddlers to their backs, and went to the new flat to do some cleaning, etc. We had a yummy pizza at the end, and decided to come back to our home together to spend the evening together here. Toddlers to the back, went down to the street... and got shocked. Guys, the traffic stopped. I mean COMPLETELY stopped. All the cars and buses just stood on the route. Without any movement. And the snow didn't want to stop falling. Hm... what to do?! Well....we took an easy 3,5 hours long walk with our toddlers (mostly) on our backs in wind and snow, to get from the empty and cold flat to the warm one. After several miles and so many breakdowns - we've had enough of the snow and the wind and the cold, thank you :) A few days later the snow melted, and we tried to forget all the bad experiences with it. Finally a bit later, but the moving went well, and here we are for each other, yeeeeay!! The next topic was the East Dorset Wedding Show for us. We prepared ourselves for the first wedding fair, we were overexcited! Then the snow.... Those little, cute, beautifully white flakes.... they tangle everything! Okay, after a sleepless night the wedding show has been cancelled/posponed. So... what to do?! again... Let's see the fact: all the gorgeous wedding suppliers are available and ready to action... (vans are full with beautiful flowers and props, etc). It's clear! "Gaaaaabor!!! Let's do an amazing styled shoot today!!! " It must be a mindblowing telepathy, as Danielle posted the same idea on the social media. Yeaay, girl, you are a star!!! We've contacted Vikkie (Dreaming of Vintage) to come along with their amazing props, too. In less than an hour our tiny, but super powerful team met in the car park, and the rest is been captured :) We're over the moon with the result - so I hate to say, but LET IT SNOOOOW!!!! :) Thank you for the following amazing peeps: Models: Danielle Manton-Kelly & Stephen Manton-Kelly (The Wedding Crécherz - www.theweddingcrecherz.com) Venue: The Italian Villa (www.the-italian-villa.co.uk) Venue Styling: Dreaming of Vintage (www.dreamingofvintage.co.uk) Wooden Bow Tie: Patore' UK - Wooden Bow Ties (www.patorewoodenbowties.co.uk) Photography: Kiss in Light Photography :) If we can do anything for you, please feel free to contact us! What is the best means to us? All the natural, honest, raw, emotional and carefree moment is a pleasure to capture for us. So please enjoy the following moments and fill up your soul by them with inspiration :) We wish you all the best for 2018 and see you soon, Szandra&Gabor We were in a cafe one afternoon where after the well-deserved latte, Szaffi started to have fun and I started to take pictures of her.
A couple of minutes later I noticed that two guys at the table behind ours were in a deep conversation — they were handsome and sympathetic. Then, at once they had a cuddle and I instantly felt that I want to know their story, get to know their faces and feelings better. When I made eyecontact with them, their reaction was positive so (I, the Cowardly Lion) asked Gabor (no, not Oz) to ask them if they would be okay with me doing a short session with them some day that week. They have let me take a few portraits in that very moment and they opened up so quickly. That felt pretty good. We could not wait for the seaside session! We woke up for a rainy day — that was the only one the whole week — but it did not wash away our good spirits. As soon as we arrived with Szaffi on my back it felt as if we have always known each other. We spent a few hours together this way with Niels and Stephen. The guys told us their story, and we listened happily. Szaffi kept on explaining stuff to them, waving to them just as she does with anyone else she finds nice. Then it hit me, how many times I heard in "disputes" about homosexual people in Hungary that "okay, let them be, but only if they "do their homosexuality" between their own four walls, because then what will I say to my children?!" And then happiness fell onto my heart, light as a feather, that we don't have to say anything to Szaffi because she sees and feels everything she needs to know. We are grateful for the cameras in our hands for bringing the essence of human relationships so close for us. Szandra |
